Further thoughts and reflections on this episode
I wanted to find out what my podcast guests learned from our conversations – so I asked them. Below are Emma’s thoughts.
What did you learn by appearing on the Creative Conversations podcast?
Your idea of having a separate to do list* just to keep everything in order. I should perhaps make notes when I’m out and about as well, when those creative ideas pop into my head – just so I can go back to them.
Do you have any wisdom or thoughts you’d like to add to the topics we discussed in our conversation?
Off the back of talking to you on my podcast** and listening to how it’s good to make creative ideas happen. I like the simple things of going for a walk, doing the gardening – anything alone when I’m away from the desk or chaos of home just to allow myself to think away from distractions. Everyone gets creative ideas from different places, and it’s good to know what works. And then make use of them!
*In the episode I shared with Emma how I started separating my ‘to do’ list from my meeting notes in different notebooks when I worked in an agency.
**Since recording this episode, Emma has started her own podcast, Face2Face With Emma Kisby. I was a guest on it, talking about my own creativity and creative journey. You can access all of the episodes here.
My reflections
I enjoyed hearing about how Emma’s business evolved from an idea for a business directory that a friend suggested to her, into a business that also includes networking and a podcast – and how she’s brought her own strengths and creativity into it. You never know where one idea will take you if you just explore the opportunities that come up along the way!
What do you think?
Did you have any insights into your own creativity while listening to this? Emma and I would love to hear what you learned and whether it’s inspired you to do anything yourself. You can contact me here to let me know.
