I ask my guests “what does the word creativity mean to you?”
We talk about creative expression and creative thinking, and how those show up in business.
In this episode I talk to Angela Lyons, who is a brand and marketing graphic designer.
She talks about her journey from product design to graphic design and the types of design work she loves, including magazines. She tells me about her podcast and the in-person events it led to. And we talk about domain name buying and trying to resist shiny new ideas!

Further thoughts and reflections on this episode
What did you learn by appearing on the Creative Conversations podcast?
First off I love the continued conversation that you and your podcast brings. Creativity is individual and different for everyone. You hear that from all the different answers that your guests have provided.
Do you have any wisdom or thoughts you’d like to add to the topics we discussed in our conversation?
Appearing on Creative Conversations made me realise how much my creativity shows up in community building as much as in design work itself. Talking about how the Creatives Like Us podcast led to in-person events revealed that I’m not just a designer – I’m someone who creates spaces for connection. I also love that being part of communities online and in person helps my creativity.
My reflections
I had such an interesting chat with Ange. I enjoyed hearing about the places she gets her inspiration from, and her journey into the world of graphic design. It was also nice to chat to someone else who has lots of ideas and a love of buying domain names!
I look forward to seeing where she goes next with Creatives Like Us and the creativity and connection that comes from that.
What do you think?
Did you have any insights into your own creativity while listening to this? Ange and I would love to hear what you learned and whether it’s inspired you to do anything yourself. You can contact me here to let me know.
